About the role

This role will be integral to the continued growth of the company. Your key responsibilities will be:

• You will manage all aspects of your projects from start to finish. Including DA stages, dealing with contractors and council representatives.
• Deliver high-quality designs.
• Collaborate with the design team.
• Working for a boutique business in the Inner Suburbs of Brisbane on modernist architecture designs.

Skills and Experience

• Completed qualifications within Architecture.
• 3 years of full-time experience managing your own projects.
• Strong ArchiCAD and drafting skills.
• Good knowledge of the BCA and Australian Standards.
• Confidence with the ability to show initiative and be proactive.

These companies are looking for someone to come on board who is really wanting to grow and develop their career within the company. You will play a vital role in the growth of these businesses and their future success. Your responsibilities as a Town Planner within the business will be as follows:

• Provide expert development advice to clients
• Maintain strong relationships with current valued clients
• Seek business development opportunities and building relationships with new clients
• Represent and advocate for the business and clients at pre-lodgement meetings, client meetings, consultant meetings or social events
• Training and mentoring to student work experience and junior staff as the business grows
• Preparing, lodging and managing existing and new town planning applications
• Manage clients to deliver a wide range of small and medium-sized projects
• Preparing fee proposals and managing invoices associated with your projects

Skills and Experience required for this role

• 3 – 8 years experience in a town planning role, management experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning or similar
• Ability to operate in an ever-changing and dynamic environment
• Excellent working knowledge of the Planning Act 2016 and other local and state government legislation and regulations
• Strong customer focus with the drive to get the customer the desired result
• Able to   handle multiple projects at any given time
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office and its application
• The right attitude to come in and get things done
• Current open “C” class drivers licence with own transport
